I graduated in Social Anthropology from the University of Barcelona in 2014, with a dissertation focusing on non-explicit forms of homophobic bullying in schools. I started my professional journey by facilitating workshops, delivering talks and leading debates on topics such as sexism, violence, and various forms of discrimination, often in close collaboration with local social movements and non-governmental organizations. I also collaborated with the Research Group on Gender, Identity and Diversity (GENI) and the European Social Research Unit (ESRU), and was part of the editorial team of the academic journal Con(t)extos. Later, I joined the Centre for African and Intercultural Studies (CEAi), where I spent five years working as a trainer, qualitative researcher and public policy consultant. During this time, I also served as director of the Young Leaders programme, an initiative aimed at increasing visibility and promoting active citizenship among young people with a migratory background. Since 2021, I have been part of the specialist team at Barcelona City Council’s Centre for Masculinities, Europe’s first public facility exclusively dedicated to engaging men and boys in the pursuit of equality, and to working with gender-based violence perpetrators who are committed to change.
